The skateboard finally stops accelerating upward, and it begins to even out. Gravity begins to pull the skateboarder down, and the board begins to fall back toward the ground after reaching maximum height.

The board is accelerating downward toward the ground. The skateboarder prepares for the impact of the landing, and straightens his legs out as he is about to reach the ground.

Gravity has brought the skateboarder back down to the ground, and the pavement pushes up on the skateboard. The skateboarder bends his knees to absorb the force of the landing, and makes sure to land with his weight balanced on the board. He then continues to roll forward at a constant velocity.
